Busbar assembly simulation in Isaac Sim
Digital rehearsal of an industrial busbar assembly workflow before floor commitment.
Problem
Electrical busbar assembly demands precise part mating and respect for electrical and mechanical constraints. Teams need to rehearse sequences, verify reachability, and estimate cycle time before locking floor layout, tooling, and robot programs especially when integrating a new manipulator into an existing line.
Solution
We modeled a busbar assembly workflow with an industrial manipulator in Isaac Sim and Omniverse. Simulation validates motion plans, collision-free trajectories, and station layout, and lets stakeholders review the robotic procedure without consuming production resources.
Outcome
The result is a repeatable digital rehearsal of the busbar task: integration risk is reduced early, and operators and engineers can align on the robotic sequence before committing to hardware and commissioning on the plant floor.
