Robotics Intern

Pune, IndiaInternship

Apply

We are looking for a hands-on Robotics Intern who wants to learn how real robot systems are built, integrated, and tested, working alongside our senior engineers on live robotics and automation programs.

This internship is suited for a student or early-career engineer who has built small robotics projects, is comfortable writing code on Linux, and wants to see their work run on real or simulated robots rather than stay on slides.

What you'll work on

  • ROS 2 nodes, launch files, and configuration for robot software stacks.
  • Integrating sensors such as cameras, LiDARs, IMUs, and encoders, and checking their data.
  • Writing Python or C++ utilities, test scripts, and small tools for the engineering team.
  • Running tests on real robots and in simulation, and recording what worked and what failed.
  • Robot bring-up support: wiring checks, calibration steps, and parameter tuning under guidance.
  • Logging, rosbag recording, data visualisation, and basic debugging of robot behaviour.
  • Documentation of setups, procedures, and test results.

You will work closely with senior engineers, take ownership of well-defined tasks, reproduce issues, and report clear findings that help the team move forward.

What we're looking for

  • Working knowledge of Python or C++.
  • Comfort with Linux, the terminal, and Git.
  • Basic understanding of ROS or ROS 2 concepts such as nodes, topics, services, and TF.
  • Familiarity with coordinate frames and basic robot kinematics at a coursework level.
  • At least one robotics, embedded, or automation project you can explain in detail.
  • Willingness to work on hardware, follow test procedures, and debug patiently.
  • Clear written communication when reporting progress and issues.

Good to have

  • Robot software: ROS 2, MoveIt 2, Nav2, RViz.
  • Simulation: Gazebo, NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Webots.
  • Hardware and embedded: Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, Jetson, serial / CAN interfaces.
  • Perception basics: OpenCV, depth cameras, AprilTag / ArUco markers.

Participation in robotics competitions, student robotics teams, or open-source robotics projects is an added advantage.

Who will fit this role

You should be comfortable picking up a defined task, learning the tools it needs, testing it on a robot, and reporting honestly on the result, including what did not work.

We are looking for someone who learns quickly, is not afraid of hardware, and wants to grow into an engineer who can bring a robot system up end to end.

This is an internship position.
